Hello!!! Welcome to Cooking for Two.
I find that most recipes are for a family. If you are a cooking for only one or two people, you end up eating left overs for a few days. Although the stores are getting better at packaging ingredients in smaller portions, they are usually more expensive. My goal here it to help people adjust to cooking for just two or sometime one. Whether you are just starting out or adjusting to an empty nest, or anywhere in between, this site is for you. I will provide recipes, tips and tricks to help make cook for two without tons of left overs.
I love to cook. I remember when I was young and starting out I would try so hard to make great meals. Sometimes it would work out, sometimes not, but I learned a lot along the way. I am not a professional cook, but I have over 30 years of experience cooking for a family. My kids are now grown and I find that I have more time to really enjoy cooking and explore options. When my kids first left, I struggled to adjust recipes and grocery shopping for just two people. Hopefully I can share by passion, my experience, lessons learned and help you adjust too.
Because I love looking so much and great products, I am an independent consultant with Pampered Chef as well. This site is not about selling Pampered Chef. I will be using products during the recipes because most of my cookware and tools are Pampered Chef. I may do some reviews of the products sometimes. If you are ever interested in them, you can send me a message or leave me a comment to let me know, but that is not what this site is about.
